Researcher at Virology Unit
I am a PhD candidate in Molecular Biomedicine at the University of Trieste and am currently conducting my research at the Virology Unit of Area Science Park. My research focuses on understanding how SARS-CoV-2 variants interact with host cellular pathways that are involved in maintaining genome integrity and regulating inflammation. I am particularly interested in the molecular mechanisms underlying these interactions and their implications for disease pathogenesis and therapeutic development.
Research Interests
My research interests include virus-host interactions, SARS-CoV-2 evolution and pathogenesis, DNA damage response (DDR), genome stability, innate immune signaling, cellular senescence, and molecular virology. I am also interested in identifying viral determinants that modulate host cellular pathways and in translating these findings into potential therapeutic strategies.
