Director General

General Director of Area Science Park, a national public research body supervised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, he is a key figure at both the national and international levels in research and technological development within the fields of energy and sustainability. He serves as president of SIET S.p.A., a company operating in the nuclear sector, and is a member of the boards of directors of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio and the NEST Foundation (Network for Energy Sustainable Transition) funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and a member of the Scientific Council of the Rome Technopole Foundation. Furthermore, he coordinates the Scientific Council of the Italian National Energy Technology Cluster, a public-private partnership recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research; he is vice president of the Scientific Committee for the Energy sector of the Maritime, Aerospace, Renewable Energies Technology Cluster FVG.

From April 2019 to July 2026, he served as President of Medener, the Mediterranean Association of National Agencies for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy recognized by the European Commission. Former General Director of ENEA and of its Department of Energy Technologies and Renewable Sources, he has overseen numerous national and European R&D&I projects and programmes, as well as collaboration agreements in the energy and sustainability fields with Italian ministries and stakeholders.
