From home to work, for low-impact travel
At Area Science Park, we encourage sustainable mobility initiatives with a focus on reducing the environmental impact of home-work commuting. Every day, hundreds of people use their own cars to get to the Padriciano and Basovizza campuses.
To reduce the environmental impact, as well as the costs of these trips, Area Science Park has activated the figure of the mobility manager to analyse and optimise travel habits with appropriate actions.
You can comfortably recharge it at one of our stations, which have a power of 7.4kW and 22kW.
The charging stations are accessible to everyone: all the people who work in Area Science Park get discounted rates, while unregistered external users can access them with payment via the emobitaly application or through one of the many applications available in roaming. The Padriciano campus also hosts a fast-charging station managed by EnelX.
Would you like to share your home-work journey, reducing costs and environmental impact? The JoJoB app is available for those working at the Padriciano and Basovizza campuses of Area Science Park. Simple and convenient, it provides a new way of organising shared journeys. You can choose to offer rides as a driver or find a ride as a passenger.
The JoJoB app can be downloaded for free from AppStore or Google Play.
Trieste Trasporti serves the Padriciano and Basovizza campuses via line 51. From May 2024, morning rush–hour connections were extended to better meet workers’ travel needs.
