A sustainable park
Goal 2030
In line with the goals of the Sustainable Development Agenda and the Ecological Transition Plan of the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, we are implementing concrete actions to make our Science and Technology Park more sustainable, both environmentally and socially.
The main challenges for environmental sustainability are the decarbonisation and adapting of all structures and activities to climate change. With the aim of making the Park a demonstrator model of sustainability and energy efficiency, we are investing in reducing consumption, applying the highest efficiency standards in new constructions and renovations and in the local production of energy from renewable sources. In this direction, the INFIRE project is a key initiative, which involves the creation of a “pilot” for the decarbonisation of the Park’s district heating system.
The social aspects of sustainability are fundamental in this long transformation process. The changed needs for agile working require an innovative offer for our residents: more flexible structures and contracts, new spaces for co-working, openness to international networks. Additionally, we provide numerous services to support sustainable home-to-work mobility for our tenants.
