PHD SCHOLARSHIP
Molecular biomedicine

The research focus of this PhD programme, which will be carried out at the Virology Unit of Area Science Park, is on the advanced study of Flaviviruses, an increasing threat to global health, with the aim of developing new therapeutic, vaccine, and viral transmission control strategies.

In particular, the research activity will focus on the analysis of the immunological profile of viral proteins and on the development of next-generation neutralizing antibodies, vaccines, and antiviral peptides. The project will adopt a multidisciplinary approach, integrating computational methods, artificial intelligence, and advanced biotechnologies.
The project will be conducted in an interdisciplinary and international research environment, with opportunities to interact with research groups active in the fields of molecular biology, immunology, and data science.
