As part of the 42nd cycle of PhD programmes, the University of Trieste is funding, through Area Science Park resources, 1 PhD scholarship dedicated to the project “Artificial Intelligence approaches for computational immunology” (Project No. 11 of the call) – Quantum Project – to be carried out at the Laboratory of Data Engineering (LADE) of Area Science Park, located in Padriciano (Trieste).
Supervisors: Francesca Cuturello, Giulio Caravagna
This project will leverage Protein Language Models and computational genomics to model the underlying mechanisms of interplay between tumor and the immune system. The goal is to develop predictive frameworks that translate sequence-level data into a functional understanding of how the immune system identifies and targets cancer cells.
