PUBLIC NOTICE ON THE COMPETITIVE SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF EXPERTS IN CIRCULAR ECONOMY APPLIED TO THE TOURISM SECTOR – PUBLIC NOTICE C2/2020

Area di Ricerca Scientifica e Tecnologica di Trieste – Area Science Park (hereinafter also “Area Science Park” or “the Institution”) is announcing a competitive selection procedure for the recruitment of experts in circular economy applied to the tourism sector.

Such an activity falls within the framework of the project “INCIRCLE– Support insular and low-density areas in the transition towards a more circular tourism economy”, as expected in the Three-year Activity Plan 2020-2022, with the general objective of establishing local and regional strategies towards a more sustainable and circular tourism to be applied to insular and low-density touristic sites located in the Interreg MED Programme areas.

DESCRIPTION

The abovementioned competitive procedure is aimed at selecting experts in circular economy applied to the tourism sector. In coordination with the management of the Innovation and Projects Institute, the expert shall undertake the following activities for the Institution in compliance with the related deadlines:

• Set up of the training contents and provision of a training service aimed at project partners during the project capacity building seminar which will be organized online approximately in June 2020. The training will be delivered entirely in English language. The main topics to be tackled within the seminar are the following:

1. a) actions aimed at maximizing circularity and its impact on climate change in terms of mitigation;
2. b) deepening of the concept of restorative business models as applied to the tourism sector;
3. c) techniques and methodologies to plan and trigger participatory processes, encouraging interaction and collaboration between all the actors involved in the joint planning of circular and sustainable tourism policies.
