IP4FVG – EDIH

IP4FVG-EDIH represents the evolution and scale-up of the IP4FVG regional digital innovation hub, active since 2018, through a new set of technologically specialised support services to speed up the adoption of digital and green technologies by SMEs and public administrations.  

The project was funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU and has received the “Seal of Excellence” from the European Commission, allowing access to national funding for Digital Hubs from the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (pursuant to Ministerial Decree of 10 March 2023, covering PNRR Mission: 4 – Component: 2 – Investment: 2.3).

OBJECTIVES 

IP4FVG-EDIH creates an ecosystem for participants in digital innovation, providing services to assess digital maturity levels and test technologies before making investments. It supports the search for investments offers digital skills training and upskilling services, and facilitates collaborations, enabling SMEs and public administrations, both local and outside the region, to access the services and infrastructures of the European EDIH network. Through a partnership with key regional players in the quadruple helix ecosystem, it ensures expertise and services for the twin transition of the territory and digital and green transformation.

Targeting businesses in the Manufacturing, Agro-Biotech, Energy and Environmental sectors, as well as Public Administrations, the services offer specialised support mainly linked to Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing, and Cybersecurity technologies.

SERVICES

  • Technical Audits: Assessing technological maturity (Assessment).
  • Test Before Invest: Testing technologies also at IP4FVG demonstrators and within experimental pathways in collaboration with regional universities.
  • Skills & Training: Providing training courses on technologies and their applications.
  • Access to Finance: Consulting to support investments.
  • Technological Innovation Process and Product Consultancy: Supporting the implementation of digital and green technologies.

EXPECTED RESULTS 

The project aims to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Strengthening digital transformation processes in SMEs by providing high-value specialised services.
  • Enhancing investments already made within IP4FVG and further developing the EDIH’s ability to serve businesses by transferring knowledge of technologies and approaches to digitization, as well as training and developing the skills of staff employed by local SMEs and public administrations.
  • Reinforcing the IP4FVG ecosystem by increasing interaction and engagement with regional SMEs and public administrations.
  • Cooperating with other DIHs and integration into the European EDIH Network.

The project is also implemented with the support of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the collaboration of: ANCE FVG, Carnia Industrial Park, Confindustria Alto Adriatico, Confindustria Udine, Cluster Legno Arredo, and Sistema Casa FVG. 

The IP4FVG-EDIH project is funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Mission 4, Component 2 (M4C2) – Investment 2.3 – Enhancement and thematic and territorial expansion of technology transfer centers for industry segments, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU.
