Numerical analysis aimed at characterising the mechanical and physical properties of complex-structured materials of biological and/or industrial origin, with particular emphasis on human bone structure analysis for medical and scientific purposes. M2TEST has developed BESTest, an innovative test for the evaluation of bone fragility, capable of creating a virtual biopsy of the patient’s bone architecture, obtained from X-ray images, on which to simulate the application of forces to verify the bone’s response to mechanical stress.   

Development of devices for rapidly diagnosing myocardial infarction and polymetric scaffolds using carbon nanotubes.

Development of materials for quality assessment of agro-food analyses.   Test Veritas offers products and services that are useful for quality assessment of agro-food analyses. These include designing and creating matrix reference materials for various types of food analyses. 

Innovative startup carrying out research and development activities in the biotechnology and molecular biology field. Ulisse Biomed developed an innovative diagnostic kit (Ladymed) which can easily detects the human papillomavirus (HPV), responsible for the onset of cervical cancer, by means of a self-sampling at home. Compared to the most common molecular tests used in national screening, Ladymed is also able to genotypethe virus, i.e. provide precise information on the strain present in the infection.
