Anna Sirica, General Manager
Born in 1969, Anna Sirica holds a degree in Business and Economics, as well as a II level University Master Degree in Management and Public Finance and a II level University Master Degree in Communications, Public Relations and Human Resource Management. Over her 20-year career, she has stood on the executive board at important research institutions and universities, including the Italian Space Agency, the Polytechnic University of Bari, and the Italian National Institute for the Evaluation of the Education and Training System (INVALSI).
Previously, she held managerial positions in large Italian organisations such as the Institute for Nuclear Physics, the National Institute for Astrophysics, and the National Council for Agriculture (CREA). She was Secretary-General of the President’s technical secretariat at the National Institute for Astrophysics. Currently, she is the President of the Independent Evaluation Body at the Italian Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and a member of the same body at CREA. She teaches business management and the automation of management processes in various university master’s courses.
Throughout her career, she has strongly supported innovation, automation, and process optimization. She has launched and coordinated important projects aimed at dematerialising and digitalising business processes. She has always strived to create a close and successful collaboration between industry and academia, with the aim of making technology accessible to people. She has sought to promote and support scientific research focused on technology transfer as both a fundamental tool for Italy’s economic development and a source of innovation for improving competitiveness, productivity, and employment. One of her most significant achievements was the creation of the Amaldi Foundation, which is based on the German organisation Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
