PinE promotes energy efficiency in industrial SMEs in the manufacturing sector by engaging them in an integrated program of energy audits aimed at implementing energy efficiency measures within companies.
It offers SMEs the opportunity to benefit from a free energy audit and profit from the reduction in energy bill costs. Specifically, in all partner countries, professional technical experts conducted audits in the selected companies, identifying potential savings and promoting effective and innovative energy efficiency measures.
This energy consultancy was structured into two phases: scouting and a complete audit. In the first phase, 280 SMEs (40 companies per country) were selected and subjected to a preliminary analysis aimed at identifying their overall energy consumption and the main consumption centers within their production processes and company facilities. The 140 SMEs (20 companies per country) with the most significant potential for energy efficiency improvements and the highest willingness to implement the suggested recommendations were selected to receive a free, complete audit.
The audits were conducted by professional technicians who collected data, analyzed it, and studied consumption patterns to identify the most appropriate technical solutions available on the market. Technical, economic, organizational, and regulatory assistance was provided for the implementation of the identified efficiency measures, and support was offered to secure financing tools.
