More importantly than its stature as a regulatory obligation, Area Science Park believes that the protection of personal data is a significant concept.

The entry into force of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (‘General Data Protection Regulation’ – GDPR) has provided the opportunity to further bring the processes and activities carried out by the Institution into line with the principles of transparency and protection of the personal data of the data subjects, be they employees, business associates, suppliers, residents of the Science and Technology Park, project partners or people who are involved in Area Science Park’s activities in various capacities. The Institution has therefore adopted a data protection system aimed at identifying and adopting the best strategies in the organisational, technological and legal spheres to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals with regard to the processing of their personal data, managed in security and transparency.

It provides support to Area Science Park to inform employees about their obligations under the GDPR and other data protection provisions. It also cooperates with the Privacy Authority and is the point of contact for Area Science Park on all issues related to the processing of personal data.

If you wish to contact Area Science Park’s Data Protection Officer for any issues related to processing your personal data and/or to exercise the rights provided for under the GDPR, you may:
