The first part of the event will focus on the presentation of the project working groups of the “Digitalization between Sea and Space” Community, established to connect expertise, technologies, and opportunities emerging from the maritime, nautical, and aerospace sectors.
Experts from industry, research, and innovation will take part in the discussion. Representing the aerospace sector, Stefano Carosio, Director of STAM and ESA Broker for Italy, and Niccolò Donatacci, Project Manager at ESA BIC Padova, will provide insights into innovation opportunities and technology transfer within the space economy. For the nautical sector, speakers will include Amedeo Migali, CEO of MICAD and Chairman of the Cluster’s Industrial Committee, and Paul Jobson, CEO of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), an internationally recognized reference point in naval engineering.
The event will also provide an opportunity to present the Cluster’s expansion path toward new technological value chains, welcome new members, and officially launch the Community’s activities through the establishment of its project working groups.
Following this session, within the framework of the Interreg Italy–Croatia TransH2 Project, a training session dedicated to digital technologies, hydrogen, and the decarbonization of maritime transport will be held. The session is organized by M.A.R.E. TC FVG and the University of Trieste.
Among the speakers will also be Alberto Soraci, technologist at Area Science Park, who will discuss the design of digital twins for the energy transition, drawing on the experience of H2 Smart Lab, the research infrastructure that supports the production, storage, and use of renewable hydrogen, while integrating advanced monitoring and management systems into these processes.
Participation is open to companies, startups, research centers, universities, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders interested in actively contributing to the initiative and expressing their interest in joining the working groups that will be presented during the event.
The event will be held in Italian.
