GeoAdriatico returns to Trieste. The international symposium on geopolitics promoted by Vitale Onlus in partnership with the University of Trieste takes place across various venues in Trieste from June 12 to 15, 2025.
The Symposium, now in its fifth edition, delves into topics related to diplomacy, economy, science, and religion. In particular, the 2025 edition focuses on scientific research in the era of global data, the dialogue between AI and space, G20 as a platform for cooperation on transport, port infrastructure, and maritime affairs, and addresses issues such as tariffs, trade wars, and the protection of the planet.
Area Science Park is also a partner of the initiative and contributes by organizing the event “Knowledge and Security: Scientific Research in the Era of Global Data” scheduled for Friday, June 13 at 3:30 PM at the conference center in Padriciano campus (program and participation info available here), and by participating in two additional sessions.
The first additional session, scheduled for June 12 at 3:00 PM at Salone di Rappresentanza of Central European Initiative, is entitled “Europe, Relaunch and Integration of the Western Balkans” and includes Salvatore La Rosa, Director of the Research and Innovation Structure at Area Science Park.
The second additional session, entitled “Space: AI in Dialogue with the Sea and International Cooperation”, is held in Sala Maggiore of the Chamber of Commerce on June 12 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and features among the speakers Fabrizio Rovatti, Project Manager at Area Science Park.
