How AI help us predict the evolution of a virus

Large Language Models, usually applied to human language, are now helping researchers analyze viral protein sequences. This makes it possible to study how small changes affect a virus’s behavior.

Such insights are crucial for predicting new variants and guiding vaccine development to stay ahead of emerging threats.
