Service and Support Engineer

We are a leading company in the field of industrial design optimization and process automation. Customer of automotive, aerospace, construction, electronics and other industrial fields use our product for simulation, improvement and optimization of their products. Some of our customers are Ford, Toyota, Volvo, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Bombardier, Embraer.

Our Headquarters are located in Trieste (Italy), in the Area Science Park campus. We have also offices in Novi, MI (USA) and Pune (India).

About the Job

You will work in the Service and Support Team and be involved in customer/channel partner support, writing documentation, testing and performing tasks related to engineering services and projects dealing with ESTECO products.

In this position, you will:

  • exploit your knowledge to give technical support to customers and channel partners
  • work on services in several CAE disciplines
  • help development teams by testing product-specific features
  • assist your team on tasks related to European Projects
  • collaborate in the production of documentation such as use cases and product demos
  • travel for short and long periods for in-loco support assignments to customers or channel partners
  • interact with local and international colleagues in our Italian, USA and Indian offices
  • contribute to the design and implementation of our applications

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MSc, BSc, Laurea or university degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (MS)
  • Proficiency in engineering software including CAD, FEM, CFD and other CAE tools
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux OS and programming languages (e.g. C, VisualBasic, JavaScript or others)
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Italian
  • Willingness to frequently travel for short/long periods
  • Good teamwork skills (communication, openness) both for internal and external interactions
  • Good reporting skills and ability to produce effective and clear documentation
  • Ability and willingness to work on different multidisciplinary projects
  • Proven ability in achieving assigned project goals
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn

 

The following skills are appreciated:

  • Background in design optimization, especially experience with modeFRONTIER
  • Experience in statistical analysis and engineering numerical methods
  • Knowledge of advanced web applications
