We are a leading company in the field of industrial design optimization and process automation. Customer of automotive, aerospace, construction, electronics and other industrial fields use our product for simulation, improvement and optimization of their products. Some of our customers are Ford, Toyota, Volvo, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Bombardier, Embraer.

Our Headquarters are located in Trieste (Italy), in the Area Science Park campus. We have also offices in Novi, MI (USA) and Pune (India).

 

About the Job

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer for our headquarters in Trieste (Italy).
You will work in an Agile team designing and developing our products, that are web and desktop applications developed in Java SE/EE, Javascript and web frameworks (Angular and  TypeScript are our preferred ones).

You will be able to:

  • exploit your knowledge on technologies
  • learn new technologies and concepts about product development
  • give your active contribution to the design and implementation of our applications
  • interact with local and international colleagues of our Italian, USA and Indian offices

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MSc, BSc, Laurea or university degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Electronics Engineering or related
  • Good knowledge of object oriented programming (especially Java)
  • Good knowledge of algorithms and software architectures
  • Good problem solving techniques
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good teamwork skills (communication, openness)
  • Good knowledge of English

 

The following skills are appreciated:

  • Knowledge of Agile software development processes (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of Software Testing techniques and tools (TDD, Continuous Integration)
  • Build tools like Maven, Gradle, scripting
  • Git, Subversion or other versioning system
  • Knowledge of Database systems (relational or NoSQL)
  • Knowledge of programming languages for Microsoft Windows
