This opportunity is offered by the\u00a0<strong>training school in \u201cPhenotypic Fingerprinting<\/strong>\u201d promoted by\u00a0<strong>Area Science Park\u00a0<\/strong>in collaboration with<strong>\u00a0Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste<\/strong>, the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology \u2013\u00a0<strong>ICGEB<\/strong>\u00a0and the National Research Council \u2013\u00a0<strong>CNR<\/strong>, as\u00a0<strong>part of the activities of the \u201cPathogen Readiness Platform for CERIC-ERIC Upgrade\u201d \u2013 PRP@CERIC<\/strong>*.<\/p>\n<p>The course will be\u00a0<strong>held in<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>English<\/strong>\u00a0and will take place\u00a0<strong>in Trieste<\/strong>\u00a0at the laboratories of Area Science Park, Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, ICGEB and the CNR \u2013 Istituto Officina dei Materiali. It is structured in two sessions for a total of about\u00a0<strong>150 hours<\/strong>. Several topics are covered: from cellular models of host-pathogen interaction to RNA sequencing, from micro- and nano-processing for biology to chemical cytology, data analysis, integration and management.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cPhenotypic Fingerprinting School\u201d training course was created to strengthen the skills of researchers and technologists employed within the PRP@CERIC project, but it also includes the participation of an external quota of\u00a0<strong>STEM graduates interested in\u00a0<\/strong>developing their skills in the study of<strong>\u00a0phenotypic fingerprinting<\/strong>. Area Science Park is inviting expressions of interest for\u00a0<strong>two positions<\/strong>. The call is\u00a0<strong>open until July 26, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>requirements<\/strong>\u00a0for applying are:<\/p>\n<p>1) master\u2019s or specialist degree or old-school degree in\u00a0<strong>STEM subjects<\/strong>;<\/p>\n<p>2) knowledge of the\u00a0<strong>English<\/strong>\u00a0language;<\/p>\n<p>3) possession of\u00a0<strong>civil and political rights<\/strong>\u00a0in the State of nationality or origin.<\/p>\n<p>For each participant in the training programme, a\u00a0<strong>reimbursement<\/strong>\u00a0will be provided for lunches during the lesson days (which can be used in the Area Science Park canteens on the Basovizza and Padriciano campuses), while, exclusively for students coming from outside Trieste, a reimbursement will also be provided for the overnight stay and other meals.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n<p><em>*The project\u00a0<strong>\u201c<\/strong>Pathogen Readiness Platform for CERIC-ERIC Upgrade\u201d \u2013 PRP@CERIC is financed under the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) under Mission 4 \u201cEducation and Research\u201d, Component 2 \u201cFrom Research to Enterprise\u201d, Investment Line 3.1\u00a0<\/em>\u201cFund for the creation of an integrated system of research and innovation infrastructures\u201d<em>,\u201d funded by the European Union \u2013 Next Generation EU.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A theoretical and practical\u00a0training opportunity\u00a0that, through the use of complementary and integrable approaches and techniques, allows the discovery of\u00a0fingerprints\u00a0of cellular metabolic pathways disrupted by infections and drug response.
