The call is open to researchers from all over the world. In addition to the possibility to access several instruments through a single application, CERIC-ERIC offers support for mobility.<\/p>\n<p>To apply, use the link \u201cSubmit a new CERIC proposal\u201d in the Virtual Unified Office \u2013 VUO, at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vuo.elettra.trieste.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/vuo.elettra.trieste.it\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As usual, there will be two deadlines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>September 2nd 2024<\/strong>, at 17:00 CEST, to have a pre-evaluation and the possibility to improve your proposal<\/li>\n<li><strong>October 1st 2024<\/strong>, at 17:00 CEST (final submission), recommended only for users that are experts in all the techniques requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What is new in this call?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over the last years, CERIC has been increasing its capacities in the field of Energy Materials. To this end, three energy storage facilities with state-of-the-art techniques in the field of fuel cells and batteries research, have been recently included in CERIC open access offer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>European Commissions\u2019s<strong>\u00a0Joint Research Centre for Battery Energy Storage Testing Laboratory<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Fuel Cell and Electrolyser Testing laboratory<\/strong>\u00a0in Petten, The Netherlands<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hydrogen Technology Centre (HTC)<\/strong>\u00a0at Charles University in Prague<\/li>\n<li>After almost a year, the\u00a0<strong>Inelastic Ultraviolet Scattering with fixed-energy sources (IUVS-Offline)\u00a0<\/strong>lab at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste is available again in the CERIC offer. The equipment of the laboratory has been enriched of the new Lab Model Deep UV Resonance Raman &amp; Photoluminescence Spectrometer (excitation wavelength at 248 nm with microscopic imaging).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CERIC continues to offer access to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AMS-IRMS Accelerator Mass Spectrometry for radiocarbon dating<\/strong>\u00a0at the CEDAD laboratory of the University of Salento, Italy<\/li>\n<li>European Commission\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Joint Research Centre Nanobiotechnology Laboratory<\/strong>\u00a0in Ispra, Italy<\/li>\n<li><strong>Next Generation Sequencing<\/strong>\u00a0at the Laboratory for Genomics and Epigenomics (LAGE) in Trieste, Italy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For maintenance reasons, the ion beam facilty at the\u00a0<strong>Ru\u0111er Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 Institute<\/strong>\u00a0will not be offering access during the current Call for proposals to their laboratory, therefor the instruments\u00a0<strong>IRRA, NMicro and ToF-ERDA will\u00a0<u>not<\/u>\u00a0be available<\/strong>, while\u00a0<strong>RBSc<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>PIXE\/RBS<\/strong>\u00a0will be available at the\u00a0<strong>CEDAD<\/strong>\u00a0laboratory in Lecce.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Thermal Neutron Three-axis Spectometer (TAST)<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0<strong>Budapest Neutron Centre<\/strong>\u00a0is currently out of service and will not be available in the current Call for Proposals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For further information about the call, please visit the website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceric-eric.eu\/users\/call-for-proposals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.ceric-eric.eu\/users\/call-for-proposals\/<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium, CERIC-ERIC\u00a0is calling for proposals for coordinated access to more than 60 instruments and support laboratories for research in all fields of materials, biomaterials and nanotechnology.
