Promoted by <strong>Area Science Park<\/strong>, it aims to promote the use of scientific and technical information contained within patent documentation as part of research and innovation pathways. With the 2025 edition, the Award is renewed, offering <strong>six prizes<\/strong> and addressing <strong>highly topical themes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 20th edition of the Award, dedicated to the memory of Bernardo Nobile \u2014 founder and first head of the Area Science Park <a href=\"https:\/\/www.areasciencepark.it\/en\/innovation-services\/patent-and-market-information\/\"><strong>PatLib Centre<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 has been updated to <strong>recognise studies and methodologies for the analysis of data and information<\/strong>, both related to <strong>intellectual property<\/strong> and concerning <strong>potentially high-impact technologies<\/strong>. In particular, the main innovations include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>studies<\/strong> that enhance the <strong>use of patent documentation and information<\/strong>, including through <strong>Artificial Intelligence (AI) analysis of data, information, and processes related to Intellectual Property (IP)<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>studies and\/or scenario analyses and\/or technological <em>foresight<\/em><\/strong> focusing on <em>\u201c<\/em><strong><em>deep-tech\u201d<\/em> technologies<\/strong>, with particular attention to their impact and\/or valorisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The initiative, organised with the involvement of the <strong>Italian Association of Patent Documentalists (AIDB)<\/strong>, will award <strong>six cash prizes of \u20ac2,500 each<\/strong> to as many graduates and\/or PhD holders who have been selected as winners in the following three categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Category 1 and 2<\/strong>: respectively for <strong>Master\u2019s theses and doctoral dissertations that explicitly use patents as an information source<\/strong>, possibly also analysing opportunities arising from the <strong>use of AI techniques<\/strong> in the research, processing and analysis of data and information, or in managing processes related to IP;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Category 3<\/strong>: for <strong>Master\u2019s theses and\/or doctoral dissertations that have explored the impact and\/or valorisation of <em>\u201cdeep-tech\u201d<\/em> technologies<\/strong>, possibly including <em>foresight<\/em>, forecast, or anticipatory analyses in the following sectors:<br \/>\na. Life Sciences<br \/>\nb. Materials Science<br \/>\nc. Advanced Digital Technologies<br \/>\nd.
