All the information are available on ESRF recruitment portal (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esrf.fr\/Jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.esrf.fr\/Jobs<\/a>) and <strong>the deadline for application is 02 May 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first 18 PhD projects will be located at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esrf.fr\/\"><strong>ESRF \u2013 The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ill.eu\/\">\u00a0<strong>ILL- The Institut Laue-Langevin<\/strong><\/a> in France and at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fz-juelich.de\/en\/institutes\">FZJ \u2013 Institutes of Forschungszentrum J\u00fclich <\/a><\/strong>in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>PhD projects will cover a wide range of disciplines including <strong>physics<\/strong>, <strong>materials science<\/strong>, <strong>chemistry<\/strong>, <strong>biochemistry<\/strong> and <strong>engineering<\/strong>. The successful candidates will study a hot topic related to <strong>sustainable development<\/strong> or <strong>industrial competitiveness<\/strong> and <strong>they will learn to use some of the most advanced and exciting analytical techniques available at their host research infrastructure facility.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will also be a second cohort of 18 PhD posts to be advertised from February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Nextstep is a Horizon Europe supported MSCA cofund doctoral programme.
